What's been going on? I have had a busy few months (if we can mutually decide that "busy" means I got a new job that involves working from home 100% of the time, and the resulting lack of structure and pajama-wear-as-workwear has led to my transformation into a complete sloth).
We have had some interesting new adventures at the Distractible household:
- We've settled into the house, and are fixing the condo up so that we can rent it out.
- Abe started the police academy.
- These little guys joined our family:
- ...who are now very lovely ladies who will (hopefully) soon be laying delicious eggs.
- I watched an excessive amount of Netflix.
- Random other things that seemed important at the time also occurred.
So what's new Internets? Have you too been watching an excessive amount of recorded television? Or have you been extremely productive in a way that will make me feel guilty and slightly jealous? Do you have new pets? New boyfriends? New children?
I missed you!

Welcome back!
Since you've asked, I've been off work again (back injury) for 3 months so far, and hubby's back on Disability... and so goes our lives. Thankfully my job has been secured for when I am able to return (pretty much an unheard thing nowadays).
I too have been watching excessive amounts of recorded tv (Biggest Loser and Gilmore Girls to be exact), but think the summer (if it ever arrives here for more than 2 days at a time) should not be so full of tv... maybe books and walks.
Anyways, keep the news coming. Whatcha doing for work now? Your ladies look pretty sweet.
Bye for now,
D
You got chickens! Wow! So awesome.
P.S. I think you should have called that post "Chickens and pullet points." Get it?!
aw the little chicks are so dang cute, precious!
also, netflix is amazing. i'm sort of obsessed.
You got chickens? That's awesome. I read a book the other day in which the main character hatched and raised her own chickens. She also sang to them.
Yeah, totally random I know.
Anyway. Nothing new with me. Still have the same pets, same fiance, same house etc.
I'm so glad you're back. And the picture of the gangly teenager bird made me giggle.
Yay chickens...have you named the ladies? My parents named their chickens but had alarming identity crisis when was named "Lucinda" and turned into Lewis. AWKWARD.
It's great to see you back! I've been SO productive blogging as well (not)...
I love your chickens. I love buying farm fresh eggs--so yellow and yummy.
What's new? Not much...still job hunting. Exciting stuff, no?
